Ch. Kincardine Keep the Change

"Copper"

(Ch. Candega Panache "Pan" X Ch. Kincardine's Cachet "Missie")

"Copper" was one of those boys we should have kept for breeding. No regrets - he lived a wonderful life with a great family, but we never got to use him at stud. He finished his championship in less than a month.

"Copper" was not food motivated so teaching a dog raised in a pet environment to "show" was a bit of a challenge. So after considering different motivations - I came up with . . . . girls. Now it is tricky to bring an in-season bitch into the ring to bait my dog, but I could bring in a kleenex that smelled like a girl and that is what I did, and it worked! "Copper" showed like a dream and never took his eyes off the kleenex!

Showing "Copper" brings to mind one of my best show weekends - I showed him and his half sister for three days at the Trio shows and I won WD and WB all three days - very exciting!
